Crew Chief Warehouse Forwarding

The Crew Chief is focused on (realizing/executing) the processing in the warehouse during the shift and is proactively organizing all operational processes in the warehouse.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the proper execution of operational tasks;
  • Identifying frequently occurring problems and following up on initiated corrective actions;
  • Functionally directing, training, guiding, addressing, and motivating warehouse employees;
  • Ensuring the monitoring of progress and adherence to processes and procedures in the warehouse;
  • Ensuring a clean and safe workplace by adhering to the 5S principle;
  • Timely reporting of deviations or special occurrences;
  • Organizing work tasks and breaks;
  • Conducting shift briefings;
  • Transferring tasks and special occurrences to the next shift.

This position requires from you:

  • MBO working and thinking level;
  • Ability to work a 24-hour schedule, including weekends;
  • Work experience as a Team Leader or in another leadership role;
  • Capability to perform physical labor. It is a plus if you have several years of experience in handling air cargo;
  • Flexibility and stress resilience;
  • Proactive behavior and the ability to prioritize effectively;
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team;
  • Eagerness to learn and leadership skills and qualities;
  • Insight into the impact of disruptions on own processes;
  • Knowledge of standard procedures regarding air cargo handling;
  • Awareness of being a role model;
  • Possession of a driver's license and a forklift certificate
