Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) part of the SATS Group, is a prominent name in the international air cargo industry with over 46,500 employees worldwide. Our operations at Schiphol, Europe’s third busiest airport, are fundamental to the logistics flow and trade through one of Europe’s busiest airports. Our services ensure that goods reach their global destinations quickly, safely, and efficiently. We handle the reception, storage, and preparation of both import and export cargo. This includes sorting goods, storing them securely, and preparing them for further distribution. We unload trucks, build cargo on aircraft pallets or in containers, and ensure that every package arrives at the correct destination elsewhere in the world. Project Manager

Become a key figure in our logistics revolution and lead the way in cargo operations with innovative IT and digitalization solutions as our new Project Manager.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating projects within cargo operations, with a focus on digitalization;
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies and digital improvements;
  • Managing project budgets, resources, and timelines;
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals;
  • Analyzing operational processes and identifying opportunities for digitalization and improvement;
  • Preparing reports and communicating project status to management;
  • Implementing innovative IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency.


This role requires: 

  • A completed HBO education;
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving thinking;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Experience with project management software and tools (MS Projects, Visio, Excel, Kace, BI Reports) is a plus;
  • Knowledge of cargo management systems (Cargospot) is a plus;
  • Experience in digital transformation projects and the logistics sector is a plus;
  • Proactive and result-oriented attitude;
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
